Weekly Weigh-in #1

Weight: 136.2 lbs
Body fat: 23.6%
Measurements: 35.5" x 29" x 38"

Although I completed my 14 mi long run for marathon training for the KeyBank Vermont City Marathon on Fri, I didn't run this past weekend at all.

My family and I also celebrated Chinese New Year this past weekend, which meant a lot of unhealthy eating! That ends today.

The Rules

In order to shred weight, I decided to establish a few unbreakable rules for myself. These rules can't be bent or broken under any circumstances!

The Daily Diet

  1. Eat 5 to 6 smaller meals a day.
  2. Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day (added 3/10/10)
  3. No more than 1,300 calories a day, typically. No more than 2,000 calories a day on days when I run 13.1 miles or more.
  4. No snacking on bread, pretzels, chips or cereal.
  5. No eating after 9PM or 2 hrs before sleep.
  6. No excuses.

I'm never allowed to eat...

  • Beef or pork
  • Fried foods
  • White starches or sugars, except white rice once a day max (I'm Chinese!)

I'm once a week allowed to eat...

  • Whole milk products
  • Dark chocolate

I vow to abide by these rules until I reach my goal weight of 120 lbs! Additionally, I will continue to train for marathons, and post my food intake online.

Defining Shredding

My name is Stephanie, and I'm getting married.

It won't be just any little ol' wedding though. I'm getting married to my fiance next year on the sprawling garden grounds of a French-inspired castle in front of a very large group of family and friends.

I realize I should only be brimming with excitement. But one detail is, and has always been, the cause of stress and distress.

My weight.

No matter how hard I've tried to restrict my diet or how much I've exercised in the past, the scale never changes.

I'm no longer passively attempting to shed weight. I'm resolute about my decision to actively shred weight.

No more excuses. The time is now!
