I know that my numbers (and diet) could be better, but at least the numbers are going in the right direction again...
With a packed schedule this week, I'm disappointed that I will be missing a total of 2 days of running, but at least I was able to squeeze in both an 8 mi run and 10-lap swim on Mon. Hopefully, I can complete a 14 mi run tomorrow in the AM and a 6 mi run in the PM without being completely exhausted for this weekend's snowboarding trip to VT!

Weekly Weigh-In #4
Weight: 137.2 lbs
Body fat: 23.4%
I am the only one accountable for my dietary actions...and I am, thus, the source of my own guilt.
I gained even more weight this week. I'm not sure which action caused this predicament. Was it the 2 Dunkin' Donuts I gobbled down this past Sunday, or the dozen honey wheat pretzels I munched on last night after dinner, or a combination of many atrocious actions I'm guilty of?
I certainly attribute my relapse of judgment to my snowboarding trips with friends with every weekend...but there is no excuse for what I've been doing.
On a positive note, I somehow lost body fat!
But it's time to start over...

Weekly Weigh-In #3
Weight: 135.0 lbs
Body fat: 23.5%
I have no choice but to work harder. Make it stick.
On a side note, I'm adding another rule to my list, a very important one at that! I need to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day!! I've often somewhat attempted to do so, but never really succeeded. I believe doing so will definitely make a difference in my health (and my dry skin too)!

"Bridezillas On A Diet"
While surfing the web for weightloss advice and inspiration, as I regularly do, I came across a NY Times article that completely related to my current situation. It seems that a vast number of future brides put themselves through much more drastic dieting measures, however:
More than 70 percent of brides-to-be want to lose weight before their wedding day, according to a new study from Cornell University.
Nearly half the brides-to-be were willing to adopt extreme dieting strategies to reach their goal weight by their wedding day. Among extreme dieters, skipping meals and taking unprescribed diet pills and supplements were reported most frequently. About 10 percent of the women used liquid diets, while a fraction of the women started smoking, took laxatives or induced vomiting in order to lose weight.
I love food as well as my own body too much to even go there!

Weekly Weigh-In #2
Weight: 134.6 lbs
Body fat: 23.5%
I missed my weigh-in last week because of a fever and virus that kept me out of work for a few days. However, I was pleasantly surprised by my scale this week. Although I missed all but 1 out of 6 of my training runs last week, I threw on my running shoes this past Mon and Tues, and ran hard! I'm still working on using the knife and fork less...
